SwaggerTag will be attending this year’s American International Toy Fair in Manhattan. It takes place in mid-February and is considered the largest and most influential trade show in North America for toys and youth entertainment products. Wish me luck!
When my firstborn started Kindergarten, I went looking for something to attach to her backpack that would help ensure that it wouldn’t go missing. I scanned stores, online and looked at everyone I passed by’s backpack or carrying case. There were plenty of identification tags out there, but in my opinion, they didn’t combine what I thought was necessary: addressed my privacy concerns, attachment strength, durability, weather tolerance (after all, I live in Canada) and a heavy dose of fun. I walked into one store and described to the manager what I was looking for and she looked at me and said: “I don’t know of anything like that; but if you find it, let me know so we can carry it here.” And there it was: my next business venture. A number of years passed before I felt I could partition some time away from my family, but this year I finally dove in to create the SwaggerTag.
We’re just getting started, so don’t be surprised if you haven’t heard anything about us or seen SwaggerTag in stores yet. It won’t be long before you do.
